About Living Waters Youth, Inc.
Living Waters Youth, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization providing housing stabilization, supportive services, and youth development programming for system-impacted young adults and families.
Founded and led by individuals with lived experience in foster care, housing instability, and systems involvement, Living Waters Youth operates with a deep understanding of the barriers faced by youth transitioning into adulthood without traditional safety nets.
The organization serves young adults ages 18–30 and families across Minnesota and Illinois, with active initiatives in North Minneapolis and Chicago’s West Side. Our work centers on housing stability, trauma-informed care, and long-term self-sufficiency.
Living Waters Youth delivers services through a Housing First, person-centered approach, prioritizing dignity, choice, and culturally responsive support. We partner with public systems, community-based providers, and local stakeholders to reduce housing instability and prevent system re-entry.
Our vision is to ensure that system-impacted youth and families have access to safe housing, supportive services, and opportunities for long-term stability and economic mobility.
OUR PROGRAMS
Living Waters Youth delivers integrated programs designed to stabilize housing, support healing, and strengthen long-term outcomes for system-impacted youth and families.
SURVIVING THE SYSTEM
Surviving the System provides mentorship, systems navigation, and supportive services for young adults impacted by foster care, juvenile justice, and housing instability.
Participants receive:
✅Individualized case management and mentorship
✅Support navigating child welfare, probation, and housing systems
✅Workforce readiness, education, and career pathway support
✅Trauma-informed guidance for survivors of domestic violence and trafficking
✅The program operates in both Minnesota and Chicago, adapting services to local systems while maintaining consistent outcomes-focused practices.

✅Housing search and placement assistance
✅Ongoing housing stabilization and tenancy support
✅Coordination with local housing systems and service providers
✅Advocacy, benefits navigation, and documentation support
Our housing work prioritizes prevention of homelessness, reduction of system re-entry, and long-term housing retention.
HOUSING STABILIZATION SERVICES
Living Waters Youth provides housing stabilization services that support individuals and families in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing.
Services include:

✅Ongoing housing stabilization and tenancy support
✅Coordination with local housing systems and service providers
✅Advocacy, benefits navigation, and documentation support
Our housing work prioritizes prevention of homelessness, reduction of system re-entry, and long-term housing retention.
GRIEF AND TRAUMA SUPPORT
The Grief and Trauma Support program offers safe, culturally responsive spaces for healing and resilience-building.
Participants receive:
✅Trauma-informed support and peer engagement
✅Skill-building workshops focused on emotional regulation and coping
✅Connections to licensed clinicians and community wellness partners
✅Ongoing mentorship and community support
This program addresses the emotional and psychological impacts of system involvement, housing instability, and loss.
